EDWARD J. ZIELINSKI Obituary
ELGIN - Edward J. Zielinski, 70, passed away September 24, 2017 at Presence St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. He was born April 26, 1947 in Germany to his loving parents, Frank and Maria Zielinski. Ed was a devoted husband to his dear wife, Danusia, for 46 years after the two met at his parents' 25th silver anniversary celebration. He was also a loving father to his four children; Mark, Todd, Greg, and Ursula. He built a successful business as a die and tool maker specializing in automation assembly equipment. Ed's unique talent for envisioning designs in his mind's eye set him apart from others in his industry. He also enjoyed teaching his trades to anyone with an interest. Loved ones will remember him as a most giving and generous man putting anyone before himself, even strangers. Ed was also known as a funny man with a unique sense of humor. The most memorable quote anyone could identify with was "Ketchup, mustard, onion, pickle." Ed dedicated much of his time to being a talented musician and composer with a love for his folk music that will live on. He also had a passion for firearms and pheasant hunting. Edward is survived by his loving wife, Danusia; children Mark (Lori) Zielinski, Todd (Tracie) Zielinski, Greg (Helena) Zielinski, and Ursula (Timothy) Fay; sisters Helene Jeffrey, Janet Glazier and Val Bruggenwirth; and grandchildren Hayden, Zac, Zane, Rachel, Erik, Natalia, and Frank. Visitation will be 5:00PM - 9:00PM Friday September 29, 2017, with service at 7:00PM, at Symonds-Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park St., Elgin, IL 60120, Rev. Todd Zielinski officiating.
