Obituary Condolences

Erik J. Krauch, 35, of Batavia, passed away Saturday, November 8, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 29, 1978 in Des Plaines, IL the son of Bill and Terri Perkins. He was united in marriage to Kristy Frye on September 9, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. Erik proudly served his country in the Air Force. During his service, he was awarded Airman of the Year. He was a dedicated and honorable crew chief who served many tours of duty in Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkey, and many other countries. After his service, he worked for the Department of Defense on the Predator Program followed by Lockheed-Martin, where he worked on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Testing Program. As a fan of politics and conservative talk radio, he served an internship for the Jerry Doyle and Heidi Harris shows, who are nationally syndicated talk show hosts, where he lovingly earned the handle "Big E Talk." He was a loving and devoted father to MacKenzie and Kaydence Krauch as well as a loving and devoted husband and friend. He is survived by his wife, Kristy; two daughters, MacKenzie and Kaydence; parents, Bill and Terri Perkins; and a multitude of brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be held from 2-6 P.M Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at the Moss Family Funeral Home, 209 S. Batavia Ave. in Batavia. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 6 P.M at the funeral home. Interment will be private.
