Dear Sweeney family, I am so sad to hear of Ethan's passing. He was one of my American Lit stars. His character was quiet but strong, and seeing him in the neighborhood after a year or so out of LHS was like meeting an old friend. He was easy to care about, and I do very much.
I will keep both Ethan and you in my prayers.

While I did not have the pleasure of knowing Ethan, I was fortunate enough to have Spencer in Algebra I class during his freshman year. I wanted to share my condolences and let everyone in the family know that I am thinking of you during this difficult time.

Ethan was a sweet sweet soul. Spencer said it best, but we all loved talking to him. You have our prayers and any support you need.

Ethan was a good kind hearted man. I remember our light saber fights in the yard when we were kids He was just the kind of kid who wanted to play with everybody and made everybody feel included. I guess all I can do now is remember the good times like light saber fights with his brother and both of mine. Or the time he had a tick in a little container of water and we waited for it to drown and we buried it under the swing set in our yard, or when we played baseball in the yard. Ethan is in the Arms of Jesus.. I prayed for all of them last night.
