HARRIET SUE LEHMANN Obituary
Harriet Sue (Mueller) Lehmann passed peacefully from this life on September 6th, 2018 surrounded by her family. Harriet was born on November 4, 1932 to John F. and Olive Mueller in Rockford, Illinois and grew up in the small town of Little Chute outside of Kaukauna, Wisconsin. She graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1950 and from the Evangelical Deaconess School of Nursing in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1954. On June 30, 1956, Harriet married her husband Richard A. Lehmann. Together they established a family in several different cities before settling in Streamwood, Illinois where they have lived for close to fifty years. Their large family includes four children: Robert (Zhanna), Cathy Roth (Michael), Joe (Lisa), and Lori Arnone (Bret); thirteen grandchildren: Richard, William (Whitney), Rebecca, Jacob, Cara (Michael), Douglas, Trent, Samuel, Haley, David, Anna, Mark, and Dylan; and three great-grandchildren: Tobias, Titus, Sophia and two more on the way. Family gatherings were important events for Harriet as she wished that all of those who meant the most to her were gathered together in one place. Harriet was a proficient knitter, she could always be found with a skein of yarn and knitting needles by her side. One of her many accomplishments is that she had knitted an afghan for every member of her large family. Harriet worked intermittently as a nurse off and on for over 30 years in a variety of different positions to include surgical nurse and in several different nursing homes in Elgin and Schaumburg. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Schaumburg, Illinois. Visitation will be on September 22, 2018 at 10 a.m. with funeral services to follow at 11:30 a.m. at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1800 Rodenburg Road, Schaumburg, Illinois.
