1919 - 2018 Obituary Condolences
Isabelle F. Sunko (nee Kleszewski), born in Threes Lakes, Wisconsin on July 26, 1919, passed away February 9, 2018 at the age of 98. Preceded in death by her parents Henry and Stephanie Kleszewski, her 11 siblings and her beloved husband, Stanley J. Sunko. Isabelle is survived by her daughters; Joanne (the late Bruce) Borck, Gail (Jim) Raynolds and Patricia (the late Peter) Imof, grandchildren; Christopher Raynolds, Alissa Borck (Geoff Gebhard), Colin Borck (John Arter), Alexander and Steffan Imhof, and great-grandsons; Matthew and Barrett Gebhard. Prior to marriage, Isabelle was a supervisor for Bell Telephone during World War II. She had been a resident of Bensenville for over 60 years and a deeply devoted member of St. Alexis Parish. She was an avid gardener, loved fishing with her beloved husband in northern Wisconsin, where she grew up, and a devoted volunteer whenever there was a need at her church. She was a communion minister bringing the Sacrament and her caring support to the homebound as well as a joyous member of the church choir. She later worked at the Fenton High School Cafeteria and so enjoyed her daily contact with the students and faculty. She was a dear and loving friend to all who knew her, sharing her infectious sense of humor with all. She dearly loved all of her grandchildren and was blessed to know her great-grandsons. Funeral Service Thursday 9:30 AM from Geils Funeral Home, 180 S. York Road, Bensenville, IL proceeding to St. Alexis Catholic Church, 400 W. Wood Street, Bensenville IL for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside IL. Visitation Wednesday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home.
