JULIAN P. BREILLATT Jr. Obituary
Julian P. Breillatt, Jr. 80, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 15, 2019. He was born March 2, 1938 in Pensacola, FL and had been a Mundelein resident for over 30 years. He was a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley and received his PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Utah. He was formerly employed at Oak Ridge National Laboratories in Tennessee and for the DuPont Corporation before becoming a Biochemist for Baxter Laboratories. Julian was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, having served as a Bishop, Counselor in the Stake Presidency and Stake Patriarch and Counselor in two Temple Presidencies, and also the president of the Accra, Ghana Temple. After retiring from Baxter, Julian went on to provide full time church service in Chicago, Santiago, Dominican Republic and Accra, Ghana in Africa. He shared his love and concern for everyone he met on a regular basis. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Gaye Breillatt; 4 children, Elise (Jim) Bouc, Adrienne (Gus) Williams, Alain (Julianna) Breillatt and Andre (Janelle) Breillatt; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandson. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Buffalo Grove. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 11:30 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 3075 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089. Interment will follow at Willow Lawn Memorial Park in Vernon Hills. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to either the American Diabetes Assn. or the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Perpetual Education Fund.
