ROBERT J. "BOB" FLETCHER Obituary
ANTIOCH - Robert J. "Bob" Fletcher; 59 years old, passed away Wednesday July 11, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. He was born December 31, 1958 in San Diego, CA the son of Robert and Alice (nee Amb) Fletcher, growing up in the Fargo/Moorhead area, later moving to Lake Co., IL, and settling in Antioch, IL in 2000. Bob graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for Duke Engineering before starting his own company. Bob was a sought-after expert in the nuclear power industry and had made a standard for the industry. He was a member of the IEEE, Antioch Men's Golf League, Antioch Women's Club Auxiliary, and President and member of the Townhomes of Antioch, and he enjoyed traveling and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals and the Minnesota Vikings. On February 28, 1998 he married Lynne Storm in Waukegan, IL. Survivors include: his wife of 20 years Lynne; two children: Mark (Kim) Fletcher of Gurnee, IL and Ryan Fletcher of Lindenhurst, IL; four grandchildren: Reegan Cuskelly, Noah, Ben, and Hannah Fletcher; his parents: Robert Fletcher of Iowa and Alice Zahnow of California; three siblings: Connie (Paul) Oestreicher of Belleville, NJ, Mike Zahnow of Fargo, ND, and Jane Cox of Valencia, CA; father-in-law Robert Storm of Arlington Heights, IL; brother-in-law Allan (Elaine) Storm of Maryland; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Bob was preceded in death by a son Eric and step-father Mel Zahnow. A Memorial Celebration will be held Tuesday July 17, 2018 from 10AM until 11:30AM at the Valley Ridge Golf Course 40150 N. Rte. 59, Antioch, IL 60002, with family remembrances at 11:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Antioch Woman's Club or the United Cerebral Palsy Assoc. are appreciated in Bob's memory.
