ROSE JONES Obituary
Rose Jones, 78 years old, passed away peacefully with her loved ones present in her home on July 8, 2018. Rose was born on November 8, 1939 in Waukegan, IL to Edward and Rosa Perez. Rose married the love of her life William Jones Jr. on May 10, 1958 in Waukegan. Rose and Bill made their lifetime home in Wildwood where she was a stay-at-home mom raising her five children. Soon after she worked and retired from Winchester Nursing Home as an activity aid where she made use of her many talents, entertaining so many people making them smile and laugh. Her home was open to many people as she left an ever-lasting impression with them. She consistently invited friends for lunch or dinner, but there was never a time that she wouldn't want to feed you as you visited with her. She also loved her antiques as you could spend hours just looking at her collection. Rose was also a member of North Point Church in Winthrop Harbor. Rose is preceded in death by her husband Bill Jones, her parents Edward and Rosa Perez, her brothers Joseph Perez, Angelo Perez, and Richard Perez, as well as her sisters Linda Garcia, Julia Pricket, Helen Murillo, and Emily Dupree. Rose is survived by her children Brad (Linda) Jones, Donna Goetz (Chuck Loring), Linda (Bobby) Goheen, Jennifer (Robert Tschurtz) Jones, Phillip (Jeni) Jones. Along with her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Her siblings, Theresa Gorman, Jennie Adams, Delores Karner, her twin brother Edward Perez, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 15, from 1-5 p.m. and on Monday, July 16, from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at Marsh Funeral Home, 305 N. Cemetery Road, Gurnee, IL, please sign guest book at www.dignitymemorial.com. In lieu of flowers, family suggest donating to the North Point Food Pantry, 900 Lewis Ave., Winthrop Harbor, IL 60096; northpointchurch.org.
