Obituary Condolences

Stanley William Clark, Jr. Stanley William Clark, Jr., 73, passed away Saturday, May 4th, 2013 at his home in Bartlett. Stan was born January 24, 1940 to Stanley and Mary Clark in Jersey City, New Jersey, the second of three children. He graduated from Teaneck (NJ) High School in 1958. After attending Seton Hall University, Stan served in the Army from 1960-1963. He was stationed at Camp Peary in Williamsburg, Virginia, serving in the security section, attached to the Central Intelligence Agency Unit. Stan worked at United Airlines from 1963-1965 in Customer Service. While at United, he met his beautiful bride Jeanne and they married in 1967 in Malibu, California. In 1965, Stan began a long sales career in the railway supply industry, moving to Bartlett, Illinois in 1971. He continued his career, traveling to all 50 states, until his retirement in 2003. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing and running. Stan also served the town of Bartlett, being selected as an original member of the town's first Police Commission in 1975. He went on to serve as Chairman of Bartlett's Police and Fire Commission until 1997. During his 22 years, Bartlett's police force grew from six to more than 40. Stan is survived by his wife Jeanne; son Lance (Kim) Clark; son Cameron Clark; daughter Brittany (Andrew) Barnum; grandchildren Madeline and Charlie Clark and Crew Barnum; sister Jane Martin; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at The Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory, 950 South Bartlett Road (at Stearns Road), Bartlett. Funeral Thursday 9:45a.m. prayers at the funeral home going to Resurrection Church for Mass at 10:30a.m. Following Mass burial will be in Bartlett Cemetery.
