Obituary Condolences

Thomas J. Knoll Thomas J. Knoll, 71, of Elgin passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 in his home, surrounded by family. He was born on July 18, 1947, in Chicago, IL, the son of Robert and Ruth (Lewis) Knoll. Thomas was a Veteran, and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Thomas previously co-owned the Phillips 66 Gas station (corner of Walnut and State) and retired from Hargrave Builders. He enjoyed spending time with his family, and will be deeply missed. He was a member of Willow Creek Community Church and the American Legion Post # 57. Survivors include his wife: Naomi Knoll (nee Swaback); four children: Jeffry (Heather) Knoll, Timothy (Jody) Knoll, Kimberly (Phil) Kuk and Jennifer (Tommy) Dodson; eleven grandchildren; a sister: Patricia Runyon; sister-in-law: Marcie Knoll Damiani, along with many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother: James Knoll; a brother-in-law: David Runyon; and a nephew: Michael Knoll. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 16, 2019, at 11:30am, at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 Algonquin Rd., South Barrington IL 60010. Burial with Honors, will be at Bluff City Cemetery, Elgin, IL. Visitation will be on Thursday, at the church, from 9:30am, until the time of service. Memorials may be made to the church or the Bob and Edna Meadows Cancer Center, Presence St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin.
