Our deepest sympathy to the immediate and extended family of our dear Aunt Zofia. She will never be forgotten.
Being on different continents has meant we could not meet often. Zosia and her family's visits to England are remembered with great fondness. We talked about many things. One time we spoke of differences in our languages and accents. It amused her that we, in England, used the wrong words or pronounced them incorrectly.
Her sisters Dzidka in England, Dziunia in Poland and Hania in USA, and her brother Janek in England (all deceased) were very close to her, albeit at a distance. They spent the war years (except the sister in Poland) in the Middle East in safety but torn from their homeland and relatives.
Zofia was a kind, warm and easy-to-relate-to person. Her thoughtfulness was evidenced by sending us parcels of goodies. When Iwona and I were growing up we were the envy of our schools, wearing modern American outfits and unknown items of clothing like warm tights for the winter.
Her sister in England and I (Krystyna) travelled to USA and were warmly accommodated and entertained. It was as if we met every day - no awkwardness. Mark and I visited much later on and had a wonderful time meeting up with my family.
Rest in Peace dear Ciocia. You will always be remembered.
Hugs for the family

The Zakrzewski family from Poland sends heartfelt condolences. We were deeply moved by the passing of Zofia, our sister-in-law and aunt. All our encounters with her, although not frequent, were pleasant, sincere, full of mutual respect and understanding. We are deeply thankful for her being a good and caring wife to our brother and uncle Klemens. She will be missed and she will not be forgotten. May she rest in peace.
We send our love and prayers.
