DALE PELTON Obituary

Dale A. Pelton Dale A. Pelton, 85, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates. He was born October 28, 1927 in Muskegon, Michigan, the son of Franklin Dale Pelton and Gertrude (Black) Pelton. He worked 41 years for Western Electric/AT&T prior to retiring in 1986. He was a member of the American Legion Post 57 in Elgin. He served our country in World War II in the Merchant Marines starting in 1943 delivering troops and supplies to D-Day. He also served during the Korean conflict in the Army. Surviving is his daughter, Tammy Moseley, son Frank Pelton, Grandson James Moseley, and one Great-Granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary (Nyman) Pelton. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 29 2013 at 11:00 AM at Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St Elgin, IL. Burial with honors will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at 2 PM. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the time of services.
