Thomas Cocolin Obituary

INDIANA - Thomas E. Cocolin, 84, of Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2008, at the Indiana Regional Medical Center.
He was born in 1923 in Clearfield County to George and Mary (Janakos) Cocolin.
Tom was a member of the Victory Baptist Church, Homer City. He was also a member of the VFW Post 1989, and the American Legion Elderton Post.
A veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Navy as a Seaman 1st Class.
He was self-employed as owner and operator of two Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants in Lewistown and Lewisburg for many years. He was also employed as a Prudential Insurance agent for 10 years.
Tom enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by one son, Harold W. of San Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Nadine Cecconi and husband Tommy of Lewisburg, and Nonie Frantz and husband Calvin of Elderton; five grandchildren, Ellie Payton, Tammy Cecconi, Kim Hughes, Kevin Frantz, and Kellie Gross; 11 great grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Ann Cagley of Clarion; and three brothers, Art of Meadville, John of State College, and George of Lakeland, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Ted, Steve, and Gus Cocolin.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Bowser-Minich Funeral Home, Indiana, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Gary Alberding officiating.
Burial will be in the Elderton Cemetery.
Graveside military honors will be provided by the VFW Post 1989.
Memorial contributions may be made to Victory Baptist Church, 139 E. Wiley St., Homer City, PA 15748.

He was the best boss I ever had ... and the most fun. He put me on that
damn salad truck and turned me loose. What a wild four years that was! I will remember this man with affection and respect for the rest of my days. Fly with the wind, Boss!
