Anne Minard Obituary
Anne Elizabeth Minard died on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the age of 78, surrounded by her husband and their three daughters. Anne was born in Evanston, Illinois to the late William and Doris (Perkins) Meyer. Anne and Michael celebrated 58 years of a loving marriage on August 27th having lived in Lafayette IN, Aberdeen MD, Rockaway NJ, Glenview IL, Bridgewater NJ, and Berwyn PA. Anne was predeceased by her parents and brothers William, Robert, Richard, and James. She is survived by her brother John, her husband Michael, their daughters and spouses, Jeanne and Gregory Pierson, Susan and James Ondrey, and Elizabeth “Betsy” and Melvin Trumble, eight grandchildren, Jessica, Kurtis, Wyatt, and Max Pierson, Jennifer and Natalie Ondrey, Samantha and Adelaide Trumble, and many nieces and nephews. Anne’s dream was to become a nurse. She received her Associate’s in Nursing from Somerset County College NJ, her Bachelor’s of Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College PA, and her Master’s in Nursing from West Chester University PA. She was a well-respected nurse in various capacities at Chester County and other hospitals before transitioning to home IV healthcare where she both managed and provided expert care for patients for many years. Anne has been a member of the PEO sisterhood since she was 18, belonging to chapters EV Illinois, AP New Jersey, and BT and BE in Pennsylvania. She organized a new chapter BT in 1987 to offer evening meetings. When not creating extravagant meals in her kitchen, Anne enjoyed sewing and knitting, gardening, camping, canoeing, and sailing with family, especially with her grandchildren. She was happiest in her full house surrounded by friends and family. Her gifts of compassion and empathy will be dearly missed by friends. Those close to her will remember the twinkle in her eye, the smile that lit up her face, and her love of life. In lieu of flowers, Anne requested contributions in her memory be made to your local Hospice, or the Paoli Cancer Center. A memorial service celebrating Anne’s life will be held on Saturday, January 26th, 11 AM at Paoli Presbyterian Church, 225 S Valley Rd, Paoli, PA 19301. There will be a private burial for the family. A luncheon will follow the service. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 South George Street, York, is assisting with arrangements. KuhnerAssociates.com
