Charles T Ferron, Sr., of Nottingham, PA, passed away on October 14, 2010 at the age of 70. He was a devoted family main who deeply loved and cared for his wife Judy, whom he was married to for 53 years. His wife and family will miss him more than words can say. Pop-Pop Ferron's laughter, kind spirit, sound advise and unconditional love have had a positive influence on the entire family, young and old alike. Charles' second love was that of teaching. His teaching career at Unionville Schools lasted 35 years. During those years, "Mr. Ferron" touched thousands of young lives, both in the classroom and on the athletic fields, bringing out the best in everyone. Charles was a gifted athlete, excelling in local sports throughout his early years. His love and devotion to athletics became a life long passion and continued into his retirement. On any sunny Chester County day you could find Charlie Ferron ready to tee off on the local links. Maybe it's time for that hole in one up in heaven. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Thomas E. Ferron and his wife Karen of Ringwood, NJ, David C. Ferron and his wife Ann of Unionville, PA and Charles T. Ferron, Jr. of Nottingham, PA; one daughter, Debra F. Hatch and her husband Joseph of Virginia Beach, VA; two brothers, Edward Ferron of Concordville, PA and Michael Ferron of Houston, TX; one sister, Miriam Lam of Quarryville, PA, nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 5:00 to 8:00, Tuesday evening, October 19, 2010 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street, Kennett Square, PA (Phone: 610-444-4116) His funeral service be at 11:00 Wednesday morning, October 20 at the funeral home. Sixth grade was my favorite grade 1962-63) and Mr. Ferron was my absolute favorite teacher of ALL TIME (well, except for Mr. Bertrando who is now my brother-in-law). I am so saddened by Mr. Ferron's passing. I will never forget him. God Bless you all.
