Christina C. Carroll, 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at her home in West Chester, PA. She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Carroll, Jr., with whom she shared 61 years of marriage prior to Joe’s death in 2009. Born October 30, 1926 in West Chester, PA, she was the daughter of the late William J. Corcoran and the late Mary A. Corcoran. She was the youngest of 5 children, nicknamed “Kriki” by her four brothers, the late William, Phillip, Arthur and Patrick Corcoran. Kriki attended St. Agnes Parochial School and graduated from Fountain Springs Academy, where she was class president and captain of the basketball team. She attended Immaculata College for two years, after which she worked as an administrative assistant until the birth of her children, when she became a full-time homemaker. She later returned to Immaculata as the Alumnae Affairs Director, worked as an administrative assistant for the American Heart Association, and as an engraver at Davis Trophy Shop, owned by her son. She enjoyed spending time with family in Sea Isle, travelling, reading, and visiting and playing cards with friends and relatives. Kriki was a life-long member of St. Agnes Church, where she volunteered on various committees until age 90. She is survived by her son, former Chester County District Attorney Joseph W. Carroll, III, husband of Barbara; and her daughter, The Honorable Jacqueline C. Cody, wife of Paul. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph S. Carroll and Jennifer C. Carroll, wife of Daryl Titus. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 29, 2021 at St. Agnes Church, 233 West Gay Street, West Chester, PA. Visitation will be in the church from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass. Interment will be in St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Agnes Day Room, 233 West Gay Street, West Chester, PA 19380. Hearing about Kriki’s passing made me so sad. Kriki and Joe were always held in such high regard in our family. Their kindness and giving spirit made such an impact on me as a child. Sending Prayers and Love to the family and heartfelt gratitude to Kriki and Joe.
