Richard F. Boyd Jr.

Richard F. Boyd Jr. of Kennett Square Richard F. Boyd, Jr., 81, of Kennett Square, passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2011, at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. He was the husband of Emma Jane Powell Boyd, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Richard Franklin Boyd and Margaret Aurand Boyd. Mr. Boyd was a radar technician in the U.S. Army, retiring in 1990, after 23 years of service. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Lodge No. 11. He enjoyed going to the beach. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Rick Boyd and his wife Cheryl of Narragansett, R.I. and Ken Boyd and his wife Kathy of Savannah, Ga.; one brother, Gerald Boyd and his wife Janet of Santa Rosa, Calif.; four grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
