Sidney Cooper Sr. Obituary
Sidney Leonard Cooper Sr. was born on December 1, 1918 and departed this world on January 8, 2018. This made his stay here 99 years, 1 month, and 8 days. Born in Delta, Pa, he spent most of his adult life in Chester County Pa, before making a home in West Grove, PA. He served in the 38th Infantry in the Army during WWII and was stationed primarily in the South Pacific. He earned several medals, including a Bronze Star. Sidney spent many years working and developing friendships at the NVF Company in Kennett Square before his retirement. In 1946 he married his soul mate and for the next 60 years they spent their lives together. Sidney was a hunting and fishing enthusiast for all of his life. He treasured each opportunity to hunt and fish with friends and family. His proudest moments were those spent hunting with his son and grandson. He was always generous and kind to everyone who was lucky enough to cross his path. He was predeceased by his wife, Luvenia; his parents, Levi and Cathryn; five sisters and one brother. Sidney leaves behind one son, Sidney Jr.; a grandson, John and his wife Michele; two granddaughters, Lisa and her husband, Howard and Julie and her husband, Charlie; one great grandson, Jake and a world that is better for having had him in it. Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Friday, January 12th from 10:00am-11:00am at Foulk & Grieco Funeral Home, 200 Rosehill Road, West Grove, PA, 19390.
