Robert Murray Obituary

Robert Murray, 88, of Coatesville, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2017 under the care of the VA Hospice Unit. He was the widower of the late Helen Cairns Murray, and the late Gertrude Gay Murray. Born in Coatesville, Robert was the son of the late Hazel Marie (Swartz) and E. Joseph Murray. He was a graduate of Scott High School, served honorably in the US Army, and retired from the Shipping and Receiving Dept. at Dopaco of Downingtown. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara E. Martz, wife of Edward, of Coatesville; two grandchildren, Daphne Willard and Robert Martz; seven great-grandchildren; his companion, Marjorie Gay; and four siblings, Patsy Farmer of Kennett Square, Betty Ward of Nottingham, Barry G. Murray of Parkesburg, and John Murray of McClure, PA. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd at 11 AM at Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, PA, with the viewing from 10 until 11 AM. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery of Coatesville. Online condolences can be posted at www.wildefuneralhome.com
