Adam JeyaRajah Obituary

Adam Ghandhi JeyaRajah, age 21, of Costa Mesa, CA, and most recently Bend, Oregon, died in the early hours of January 21, 2018, in a car accident. Adam was born December 29, 1996, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to parents Indi JeyaRajah and Darleen Savage. Adam spent most of his life in Costa Mesa. He attended Killybrooke Elementary, and Costa Mesa High School, splitting his time between athletics, like football and volleyball, as well as the arts, like drama and choir. He was nothing if not well rounded. A self-proclaimed "fried chicken connoisseur," Adam was also a promising culinary student, studying at Cascade Culinary Institute in Bend while also working in the kitchen at Bistro 28. He had a fierce love for family, friends, food and adventure. Adam would do anything for a great story; like jumping into the Mississippi River in the middle of winter or buying a one-day ticket to a music festival across the country by himself just to see his favorite artist. Adam was charismatic and compassionate beyond belief. There was no one more proud or inspired by watching the people he loved do great things, and even if they weren't that great, Adam could make you feel as though you'd just climbed Everest. Adam is survived by his parents, his older sister Hannah, his older brother Noah, his brother-in-law (Paper Brother) Ross, his stepfather Steve, a hoard of loving cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents, countless beloved friends including the squad, and the brotherhood, and his faithful sidekick Pancakes the pug. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 3, at 1pm at Halecrest Club in Costa Mesa, CA. The family would like to thank everyone for their kind words and memories of Adam. He will be forever cherished, forever remembered, forever loved. Memorial donations can be made to a fund set up in Adam's memory, to be used to support Costa Mesa Athletics and Arts as well as Cascade Culinary Institute in Bend. To donate please make checks payable to the Adam JeyaRajah Scholarship Fund and deposit at any Umpqua Bank using reference #3070698. Alternately, checks can be mailed to Darleen Savage, 20030 Voltera Pl. Unit 2, Bend, OR 97702 or Indi JeyaRajah, 2702 San Lucas Lane, Costa Mesa, CA 92626.
