Stuart P. Newcomb

Stuart was born in Chicago, Ill., to Liniel E. Newcomb & Helen R. Newcomb. Stuart passed away Oct. 13, 2017, from multiple causes aneurysm, heart, and pneumonia. He graduated from University High in Los Angeles, and attended USC. He served in the Army and spent 2 years at Fort Ord working in the hospital research laboratory. Sailing, cooking and writing were his hobbies. Stuart sailed on the Nalu 11 in 1959 when they won the TransPac race. He participated in many more offshore races and loved racing his Lehman 12 at NHYC. He was predeceased by his wife Jackie. Stuart is survived by his sister Carolyn.
