Robert Miller passed away on August 10, 2018 surrounded by family after battling a long illness. He was born in Hampton, Virginia in 1966. He graduated from Hampton High School, Old Dominion University and L'Academie de Cuisine in Maryland. Upon graduation from culinary school, he was employed at Old Angler's Inn in Potomac, Maryland. He was most recently a software applications developer at the Motion Picture Association of America in Sherman Oaks, California. He loved California from his first visit and spent the last 25 years there. He shared a love of music with his twin brother John and was a talented guitar player. He enjoyed cooking for family and friends. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Jess P. Miller, III and by his beloved cat, Marley. He is survived by his wife, Judy Andresen, of Los Angeles, California; his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Jess P. Miller, II of Hampton; his twin brother, John Miller and wife Jennifer; his sister Susan Briscoe and husband Greg; his brother Steven Miller and wife Kay; his brother Douglas Miller and wife Denine; and his sister Rebecca Ironmonger and husband Michael. He also leaves behind twelve nieces and nephews. Robert's family would like to thank the caring staff of Riverside Hospital, especially Dr. Flavia Kostov. Robert was a passionate Minnesota Vikings fan since childhood and his family requests that those who were close to him watch a Vikings game wearing purple and think of him. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16 at 93 Snug Harbor Drive in Hampton from 5 – 8 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cat Corner, 85 Fulton Street, Hampton, or the Union Rescue Mission, 545 S. San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, CA 90013.

Hearing of Robert's passing breaks my heart! As we all grew up and moved on in our lives, my contact with the Miller boys (Robert and John) grew more and more distant...but as many of you know, childhood friends always have a very special place in your heart! My condolences to the entire Miller family!!! You are all in my thoughts and prayers!!

I am so sad to hear of Robs passing. We worked together at Siltin-Bookman Systems for several years. When he tore himself away from his computer, he would always have smiles for everyone and silly puns. Condolences to Judy and his family and friends.
