Priscilla:
Janice and I wish to express our deepest sympathy for you and the entire Peterson clan who are all in our thoughts and prayers. The fraternity of Naval Officers has never had a more compelling example of its ideals nor a better role model for its future. I was always extremely proud to say that Eric was from MY hometown and MY high school. God bless.

Dear Kathi,
and of course to your sister, mother, and the children...
You have our heartfelt sympathy and prayers at this most difficult time. I know that you are a very close family, and that you will draw strength from each other. Your father was a wonderful man, loving and devoted to his family, and that will be an inspiration for the children in the days and years to come.
All of our love and warm thoughts are with you.
Love, Alice, Jeff, Christine & Katherine Whitaker

Capt Peterson and I were sworn into the Navy side by side in Sept 1960 as NROTC midshipmen. Since then I have never met a more decent, honorable officer. God Bless him and his family. CDR A. Rypka, USN ret.
