POQUOSON - Beverly (Bev) C. Woodward passed away on June 5, 2013 and her family will miss her dearly. Beverly's passion and love was her family. She was the heart and pillar of our family and was the best cheerleader a child could ever dream of having. Beverly is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Joe Woodward. Her oldest son, Jody passed away in 1992. She is survived by her two sons and their wives; Tony Woodward & Robin of Smithfield and Brian Woodward & Karen of Yorktown. In addition to her boys she is survived by 4 grandchildren; Courtney, Hayden, Christian and Camden Woodward. She also had 3 step grandchildren; Shane, Jeremy and Amber Powell. Beverly was born in Monongahela, Pennsylvania in 1939. She was the oldest of 7 kids. Beverly was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Campbell, and sister, Nancy Lee Londeree. She has five surviving brothers; George, Jim, Fred, Bill and Richard Campbell. The family would like to thank Fred Campbell for his endless love, support, and friendship. Beverly moved to the Peninsula when she was 12 years old and was a 1957 graduate of Warwick High School. While in high school, she started working for the local telephone company and continued to work for C&P until her retirement in 1992. Beverly was a member of Grafton Christian Church in Yorktown. Her church and faith were important to her. In lieu of flowers the family would like for those that would like to make a contribution please do so to the Grafton Christian Church, 109 Brick Church Rd, Yorktown, VA 23692. The Family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 - 8:00pm, at Amory's Funeral Home, and a memorial service will be held at Grafton Christian Church on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 1:00pm.
