Carla WILLIAMS Obituary
Carla was an instructional supervisor with the Department of Student Advancement-ESL, at Newport News City Schools.
Carla is survived by two sisters, Marcia Munoz and husband, Shawn of Burtonsville, Md., and Wendy Veney of Woodstock; two nephews, Jace and Cade Munoz, and one niece, Gavi Munoz, all of Burtonsville; and special aunts, Ophelia Schlager of Largo, Fla., Linda Williams of Stuarts Draft, and Deniece Frye of Harrisonburg; her "Nana," Marjorie Veney of Luray; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and friends.
Her daughter, Tori Kaitlyn Williams, 14 months, died April 18, 2012, in Hampton, Va. Tori was born Feb. 1, 2011 in Hampton.

To The Family of Carla, Tori and her grandmother. It´s been 12 years since they´ve been gone and each day I still think of Carla. Carla was so very special in every way. My mom passed away in March 2012 and to lose Carla the next month, it´s still very hard for me. I saw Carla and Tori at Patrick Herny mall, we had so much fun, sitting there eating the hot Pretzels. Carla was the best supervisor Ever, I loved her and will NEVER forget her. May God continue to bless you all. .

There has never been a day that Carla did not give of herself unselfishly to students and coworkers alike. Her wonderful smile, kind words, and positive attitude always seemed to make life better. The fact that the loved and honored the Lord in all she did was obvious. Few people have touched so many lives in such a positive way. I was blessed to have known her. Carla never met a stranger and always extended a helping hand to everyone who needed one. This giving nature was common thoughout the whole family and you were welcomed to be part of it. Never did you hear a harsh word about anyone or anything. She truely made a difference in this world and I consider myself so lucky to have known her. Three beautiful souls taken away too early! Carla touched the lives of a lot of us at NNPS. I offer my sincere condolences to the family. There are so many things that happen in life and we just don't understand, but I suggest that we try to receive God's peace at such a time as this. Carla was a wonderful person and friend. I will always cherish the 2 years I worked with her in the ESOL program. I got to know her and with the few times we spent meeting up for fun activities outside of work whenever we could, I will cherish the friendship and the laughter! Carla will be missed, but know that she will always remain in our hearts and she is in a better place that none of us can truly know until we get there in Heaven!
