David S. Rabon, Jr., lovingly known as "Little Dave", 59, passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at home with his family by his side. "Little Dave" was born a military child in West Palm Beach, FL and traveled the world ultimately settling back where his mother's family was rooted, Poquoson. It was here he started his own family and lived out his days. Dave worked as an engineer but at the age of 47 he found his calling as a Poquoson police officer which led to his dream job as a Captain of the Virginia Marine Police. He was a member of Keep the Promise Ministry and Trinity United Methodist Church. Dave was preceded in death by his father, David Rabon, Sr. and mother, Shirley Firth Rabon. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Glory Evans Rabon; his children, Dustin and Katie; his babies, Jenna and Brady Richert and their father, Brad; brother, Donny Rabon (Kimberley Jarvis); sisters, Wendy Fillmore (Steve) and Susan Donatelli (Joe); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and countless friends. A Celebration of Dave's life will be held Sunday, June 10, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson at 2:00 PM, led by Pastor Buddy Chapman. At other times, the family will receive friends at the family home. Burial will be private. Donations may be made to Poquoson Volunteer Rescue Squad, P. O. Box 2099, Poquoson, VA 23662. Dave will be missed so much. He touched many lives. Some of my fondest memories were having the football team sitting in the living room eating and having a great time. Coach taught us so much on and off the field. My condolences to Glory, Katie, and Dusty.

So sorry to hear about Dave's passing. He has been suffering with the cancer for some time and now he is no longer in pain and with his heavenly Father. He will be missed very much by all. Trust that God will see you all through this sad time.
