James William Bigham, 64, passed away on Sunday August 5, 2018. James was a native of North Carolina and a peninsula resident since 1999. He retired from Duke Industries in 1999 and moved to peninsula and worked and retired from Newport News Ship Building in 2015 after 15 years of service. He enjoyed going to and listen to Blue Grass Music. He is survived by his companion Debra Chandler and his sons, Todd and Jeff Bigham and a sister Lisa Bigham and a grandson Harrison Bigham. Service will be private in North Carolina. Arrangement by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, VA.

Our prayers are with Bill's family in this time of loss. We will all miss Bill at every bluegrass event in the area. We could always count on a friendly smile and a good word from him when we would see him at the local venues where many of us played. Rest in peace, my friend, knowing that you will always be remembered.
