Johnny D. NEICE Obituary
POQUOSON - Johnny D. Neice touched the face of God on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. In 1964 he moved to Poquoson and was the owner and proprietor of the Poquoson Barber Shop for 45 years.
Johnny is preceded in rest by his mother, Fannie; father Dewy; and his half-brother; G. D.
Surviving members of his family include his high school sweetheart and wife, Karan. Karen and Johnny were blessed with 51 years of marriage. Also surviving is his daughter, Tammy; and three grandchildren, Eric, Daniel and Lara Wittig.
He and his beloved wife have been active members of Tabernacle United Methodist Church for the past 30 years.
Johnny was an inspiration and pillar of support to hundreds as an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 31 years. His hobbies included wood working, reading, fishing, and playing the family card game Shang-hi (he loved to win too!).
He will be remembered as a quick witted jokester with a warped sense of humor; always willing to give with a helping hand, wholesome heart and genuine smile.
A memorial service celebrating Johnny's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, at Tabernacle United Methodist Church.
