To say my heart was saddened when I heard about the passing of Linda Harris is an understatement. When I think of her, it warms my heart and brings a smile to my face. You and your family are so blessed to have had her in your life for all these years. She leaves behind quite a legacy. Her spirit will live on in you and your children. I am sure that she is looking down and smiling on all of us. What a beautiful and wonderful angel we all have to watch over us now. My dear friend has been received in heaven and is now resting with our father. What a joy it was to have such a dear friend and sister in Linda. I shall always treasure all the moments we shared throughout the years and the significant events that we were able to celebrate together. My life has been strengthened and encouraged through her determination to press continually when I knew she often was not really feeling well. She truly was a blessing in my life and I shall cherish her memory.

Mrs. Austin and the Emmanuel Baptist Church join me in expressing our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your dear wife, Mrs. Linda Harris. The pangs of death are felt by all of us and we as Christians may weep for a little while, but we look forward to the great joy that cometh in the morning.
Our prayers are with you at this time of sadness and joy. Sadness, because as humans, separation from those we love causes anguish. But the sadness is overcome by the joy of knowing that our "Sister" having fought the good fight, finished the race and having kept the faith has received the crown of righteousness from the righteous judge, God our Father. And while she is no longer with us in the flesh, we will see her again. Thanks be to God for that blessed hope!

Linda "fought a good fight" and now has now has received her "crown of righteousness." A quiet woman but a woman of great strength and dignity, I shall always remember her determination to complete a task with excellence even though she was not feeling well.
I thank God for the joy of knowing Linda for many years. May you be comforted by God's presence and His abiding love.
