POQUOSON - Linell C. Quinn, 95, a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, passed away Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011.
She retired from NASA, as a Math Technician after 26 years of service, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and the Ella Forrest Circle. She was a member of many political and social organizations. Her love of family, travel, visiting friends, and playing cards, were the joys of her life.
Mrs. Quinn was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Vance Quinn; sister, Christine Forrest; father, James "Cliff" Carmines; mother, Effie Carmines; and son-in-law, Jerry Gough.
She is survived by her son, Robert Vance "Bobby" Quinn Jr. and wife, Marilyn; her daughter, Betty Q. Gough; four grandchildren, Kerry M. Gough and wife, Catherine, Audrey L. Hughes and husband, George, Lance E. Davis and wife, Melanie, and Todd C. Davis and wife, Angela; eight great-grandchildren, Jerry Gough, Emily Gough, Chandler Buchanan, Ashleigh Windecker, Ethan Davis, Hunter Davis, Shepard Davis and Carter Davis; and numerous friends and family.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, and other times at the home. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Trinity United Methodist Church by the Rev. George T. Insley Jr. and the Rev. Milford C. Rollins. Burial will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
