Lisa A. SELTZER Obituary
POQUOSON - Lisa Anne "Mi-Mi" Seltzer, a devoted Christian, wife, mother, sister and friend went to be with her Lord Jesus on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012. She fought the good fight and was ready to see her Savior. Even in her sickness, she reached out to others and shared the good news.
She never met a stranger and always put others ahead of her own desires or needs. She always had a ready smile and a way to put anyone at ease.
Lisa was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for the 2-4 year olds. Aside from her relationship with the Lord, her family was her pride and joy. She continued the tradition of family gatherings at Christmas and always remembered special events. When her grandson Addison was born, she took it as her mission to be sure he knew who Jesus is and how to have a personal relationship with Him. She was the perfect wife of 33 years and was blessed to see her two sons grow and establish their own families of which she was very proud.
She is survived by her husband, Barry; her sons, Jeremy (Heather, Addison, and Elyse), and Adam (Jen); her parents, Howard and Rachel; her sisters, Vicki (Al, Anne Marie, and Brian), and Gail (Perry, Brendon and Tyler); her brothers, Steve (Michelle, Sarah, Christopher and Rachel) and Jeff (Caitlin); and too many friends to mention.
Although she will be missed by all, we shall all meet again (John 5:24).
A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 9, 2012, at 2 p.m. in Bethel Baptist Church, Yorktown, with Pastor Doug Echols officiating. A reception at the church will follow immediately after the service.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Children's Ministry of Bethel Baptist Church, 1004 Yorktown Road, Yorktown, VA 23693.
