Lola Marie Davenport Obituary
POQUOSON - Lola Marie Davenport, age 85, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2014. A native of New Orleans, LA she had been a Peninsula resident since 1946 and was a homemaker. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Andy Davenport and his wife, Jacqueline, of Newport News, and John Davenport and his wife, Cathy, of South Bend, IN; four grandchildren, Justin Davenport of McLean, VA, Amy Casey and her husband, Sean, of Newport News, Ensign U. S. Navy Branden Davenport of Yokosuka, Japan, and Bradley Davenport of South Bend, IN; and one great-grandson, Thomas Casey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Victoria Demandre; a son George H. Davenport; a sister Leta Demandre; and a brother Milton Demandre. A Rite of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 10, 2014 in the W. J. Smith & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles J. Faul of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church officiating. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the Doctors and Staff of Golden Living at Bayside of Poquoson for their care and compassion during this time.
