She loved her Roman Catholic Faith and at one point in her life considered becoming a nun. Marlene worked as a volunteer for the Roman Catholic Director of Religious Education at Fort Belvoir, Virginia for several years before moving to Poquoson. She loved all that nature had to offer and spent many hours observing wildlife, spending days on the beach, and sailing. Marlene was preceded in death by her father Stanley Klach and mother Loretta Klach. She is survived by her husband, William Hammett; daughter, Lori Giblin & husband Frank; sons, Joseph Stormer and Thomas Stormer; grandson, Benjamin Giblin; and granddaughter, Analeigh Giblin.
