Mildred "Millie" "Granny" Treadway Daniels went to be with her Lord on Friday, June 15, 2018. Born March 27, 1932 in Lancaster, PA to Albert & May Walters Treadway, she had lived in Poquoson since 1956. Millie was a member of Messick Baptist Church for 18 years where she taught Sunday School and took part in many activities such as the Messick Sunbeam Clowns, Ladies Guild, and Bluegrass Saturday night. She joined Emmaus Baptist Church in 2012. Millie was preceded in rest by her husband of 53 years, Harold T. Daniels; her parents; and her brother, George A. Treadway. She is survived by her sons, Thomas A. Daniels & wife Robin of Newport News, and Terry W. Daniels & girlfriend Jeanette Campbell of Poquoson; two very special granddaughters, Stefanie D. Steele of Yorktown and Jessica Daniels Anderson & husband DJ of Newport News; great-grandchildren, Kylie Elizabeth Hansler and William Lee "Liam" Steele; brother, Lee E. Treadway & wife Nancy of San Antonio, TX; and many special nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 20, 6:30-8:00 PM at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson. A Celebration of Millie's life will be Thursday, June 21, 2:00 PM at the funeral home led by Pastor Scott Wade. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park, Hampton.
