Roselle T. JOYNER Obituary
POQUOSON - Roselle Trantham Joyner, 86, a native of Fines Creek, N.C., and Poquoson resident since 1943, passed away, Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2012. She retired from the Bookkeeping & Loan Dept. at First National Bank of Poquoson in 1984, and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson. She loved being outdoors and working in her yard.
Mrs. Joyner was preceded in death by her husband, William Skid Joyner; parents, Emmett and Leona Trantham; brothers, Grover, Glenn, Claude, Clayton, and Fletcher Trantham; and sisters, Glee Carmines and Elva Hannah.
She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Tillman (Bill) and Lynn Moore (Tim); a son, Dennis Joyner (Anita); seven grandchildren, Dennis Joyner Jr. (Debra), Michael Joyner (Julie), Bill "Skid" Joyner (Holly), Lee Tillman (Tiffany), Corie Tillman Wolf (Dan), Billy Moore, and Pamela Docherty; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Janice Hopkins (Billy) and Betty Trantham; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, immediately followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., at the funeral home by the Rev. Charles R. Stacy. Burial will follow in Weston Cemetery, Poquoson.
