NEWPORT NEWS - My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. Samir Antonios, 61, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. He was born on March 28, 1956 in Tanta, Egypt where he attended St. George Church there. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1995 and resided in Hampton Roads. Samir was one of the establishers of St. George Coptic Orthodox Church in Hampton. He was known for helping many people and families start their lives in the U.S.. Samir was a successful businessman having started his own construction company. He is survived by his loving wife, Nadia Mekhel; children, Souzi, Salwa; son-in-law John Ishak, Maged Mekhel; brother to Abdel-Sayed, Milad, ZoZo, FiFi, brother-in-law to Tharwat , Halem. A funeral service of Condolence at St. George Coptic Orthodox Church, 187 Semple Farm Rd., Hampton, VA 23666 will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 12, 2018 with entombment to follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
