Obituary Condolences

POQUOSON - Thorbon Wayne Insley, 63, a native and lifelong resident of Poquoson, passed away with family by his side Monday, Oct. 3, 2011, at Mary Immaculate Hospital.
He retired after 23 years of service as a Systems Analyst for Newport News Shipbuilding. Thorbon continued to work after retirement with several other companies: Sears, William E. Wood Reality, and nTelos. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church, the DeMolays, and served on the Poquoson School Board. He enjoyed working with his tools to include cleaning carpets, serving in his community, and was an avid Nascar Fan of #88, Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Thorbon was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mamie Lou Insley; and a brother, Robert W. Insley.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Barbara "LaJuan" Insley; loving daughters, Amy Frizzelle and Kimberly Insley; and grandchildren, James, Christopher, Wesley, and Jena.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home, Poquoson, immediately followed by a "casual dress" funeral service at 11 a.m., in the chapel by the Rev.
