William "Bill Reed" Freeman Obituary
POQUOSON - William "Bill Reed" Freeman, 72, a native and resident of Poquoson, died Tuesday, February 20, 2018, after a short illness. Bill lived in Florida most of his adult life with his life partner Fred. After retiring as a hair dresser, he moved to Poquoson and worked as a handyman for Claytor Rollins Funeral Home and delivered flowers for The Flower Shoppe. He was a graduate of Poquoson High School Class of 1963 and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Poquoson. Bill was preceded in death by his life partner of 42 years, Fred Jenkins; parents, Edith and Ned Freeman; and brother, Elvin Freeman, Jr. He is survived by his niece; Yvette Freeman and husband Michael Sigal; nephew, Joe Freeman III and partner Scott Teribury; cousins, Molly Mae Freeman Hampker, Alice Nell Firth, and Christopher Hampker, sister-in-law Frances Freeman Hinton, along with numerous other family members and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 22, 6:00-7:30 PM, at Claytor Rollins Funeral Home. Burial will be at Parklawn Memorial Park at a later date. At other times, the family will receive friends at 116 Lodge Rd, Poquoson. Claytor Rollins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
