After reading an article on the Internet that mentioned The University of the South at Sewanee, I remembered that Jordan graduated from there and did a search on his name. I was saddened to see that he had recently passed. I served with Fitz when we were both new guys flying the Lockheed Racer T-33 and assigned to the 460th FIS at beautiful Grand Forks AFB, ND. We flew together to most of the garden spots along the U.S. northern border and in Canada. We posed as the targets for the F-106 interceptors and attempted to cross the border into US airspace, usually at about 2am! Had some great times! And the photo on the obit is just as I remembered him. RIP Fitz.

I am so very sorry to hear of Jordan's passing. He was a caring and compassionate man. His voice and his sense of humor will be fondly remembered. Jordan was proud of his service to his country and kept pictures of the planes he flew on his 5 computer screens. He was the "go to" guy at Eastern State Hospital. He will be missed!
