NEWPORT NEWS - Bryan Merrill 'Brad' Bradish Sr., 83, passed away Sunday, Jan. 25, 2009. He had been a resident of the Peninsula for 55 years.
Mr. Bradish was founder and owner of Bradish Sign Company. Brad and Vina opened their family sign shop in 1956. They enjoyed providing quality signs and personal service to each customer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alvina L. Bradish and granddaughter, Julie Reed.
He is survived by two daughters, Margaret Bradish Smith of Suffolk, and Carol Ann Woodward of Los Malinas, Calf.; son, Bryan M. Bradish Jr. of Smithfield; sister, Zoe Osterling of Coroapolis, Pa.; four grandchildren, Brandon Reed, Michelle Smith, Molly and Christine Bradish; and four great-grandchildren, Haylee, Courtney, Emily and Miranda.
The family wants to thank all of his friends from the beach, dancing and motorcycling that shared time with Brad. He always said, "Lov Ya a Bunch."
The family will receive friends beginning at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 30, 2009, at Peninsula Funeral Home with funeral services to follow at noon. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
