Stu made this world a better place. He made the NCO Corp, a better Corp. He made the watercraft folks better mariners, and he made me a better person. Stu lived every day to the fullest and he took some of us along for the ride. People often say "if I knew then what I know now". Stu always knew now. We are all fortunate to have know him. Some may feel empty at the passing of a loved one. That isn't the case with Stu, he has left my head full of memories, my heart full of love, and my soul full of hope. I will miss my great friend for the rest of my life.

Trina, I knew Stu from my time as the DPTMS NCOIC APR 07-APR 08. I remember his warm and caring smile just like the picture. My heart is out for you and I pray for your peace and understanding at this time. He was a wonderful person and I always enjoyed my visits to 3RD Port; Stu was a very funny and charismatic person. May God hold you and your daughter in the palm of His hand until you all meet again!

I've known Stu from the time I was a PVT at Ft Story in 331st ACV and at Ft Eustis on the LCU's as a SFC. He was a great NCO then and always will be. Even after he retired, he always took care of us trying to get our mission accomplished. I cannot recall a single time when I asked him for something and he not make it happen. I still can hear him say " Hey Sarge... what can I help you with?" Gonna miss you Stu. Fair winds and a Following Seas brother.
Trina, Our heart and thoughts go out to you. Sorry we can't make it to pay our respects.
