Jeff and I met in physiology class at ODU. He was a great tutor and became the best of friends. A constant dinner/walking/road-tripping/laughing buddy, he is missed tremendously. We explored light houses, oceans, Bourbon street, loved cats, and even cared for Templeton the rat in college, who loved lemon bars and was so cute with confectioners sugar in his whiskers. Many great "Jeff" moments. There was only one Jeff.

Jeffs smile and laughter warmed everyones heart. He was a friend you could always count on, no matter what you needed, he was there ready to help. His sweet spirit and kind words came so naturally. His laugh was infectious, and I loved his positive, sunny side. Ill always treasure the memories of our times together, Jeff had a special talent for capturing those moments in pictures. He was a quality dude and he will be missed very, very much. My heart breaks for everyone.

I am heartbroken and devastated at the passing of my nephew, Jeff. It seems no matter what lives he touched , they were blessed by his kindness, his goodness, his willingness to serve, his smile and his sense of humor. To those who knew and loved him, he will be desperately missed. It lessens my sadness to know he is in the loving care of the Lord.
John 14 1:2 "I go to prepare a place for you ." By His blood on the cross, He has prepared a place for him in Heaven. Jeff is now home. Rest in peace sweet Jeff .

Jeff was a kind person who was always willing to lend a helping hand and a cheerful smile. He was meticulous in his work, and he was fun to work with. I will miss his stories about his adventures and the way he would say I know when we both agreed on something. He would whistle to let you know he was happy. He spoke lovingly often about Belle. Jeff will be missed.

Jeff and his sweet wife Angelia were beloved by our entire community group at Northside Christian Church. We all loved how they both plugged right in. They were easy to love. It was so fun to see how their little family of three was so happy. Daddy Jeff was loved by Annabelle and we will always remember the picture of them both at Annabelle's Daddy-daughter dance at her dance studio in February. We always saw Jeff and Angelia smiling and holding hands no matter where they were. We will miss them both very much. Our church family is praying for all the family and friends who have suffered this great loss. We would welcome family to reach out to us. We would love to share memories and be of more specific help and prayers to you. Love in Christ, Their Northside Christian Church Community Group

Jeff you and I went to high school together, ran cross country together, couldn't ever best you and graduated together and you'll forever be in my thoughts. You always had a smile on your face and were quick to help anyone out, your heart was just that big. We haven't seen much of each other over the 30+ years since we graduated but you've such a positive impression me that your passing has been tough because you were taken so young. I will pray for you and your family who must be going through so much grief right now. You'll live forever in our thoughts and prayers so rest in peace Copper and see you on the other side.

Most of my memories of you during our time in school together have unfortunately faded in my mind. I wish more than anything right now that they would return. However, even if they don't I will always cherish my memories of you at the reunion. I think every picture of me was taken by you dear friend. You were so kind to all of us at that reunion. I wish you nothing but love and peace in Heaven. To Jeff's family and friends I send hugs, love, and comfort during this time. Always remember this mans kindess.

I am beyond sad that he is gone, I will miss his bright smile and his kindness. My prayers go out to his family and friends.

People come and go throughout your lifetime, but some people while you may not see them regularly make a lasting impression on your life. That is Jeff -- to know him was to love him, to know him was to have a friend for life and not just any friend but one you could count on to always be there. Funny, through the years little things always remind me of you, even 2 weeks ago I thought about you. I will continue to remember you and the memories will always make me smile. Such a kind-hearted man who will be forever missed. My heart goes out to everyone who knew and loved him.

I grew up down the street from him in high school. Always had a smile on his face . We used to go to the lake and he'd be trying to catch fish or snakes. One memory of him, that I will never forget, I was heading to the lake and Jeff rode by in a hurry and I'm like what's the rush and I looked closely at his hand. There was a black rat snake(non poisonous)wrapped around his wrist biting his palm and all he said was ouch!!!!. I will always remember you my dear friend. You always were positive and had a smile on your face. Lastly, one last memory, at my graduation party you were dancing and you bumped into the table and broke the potato chip bowl which my mom had from the 60's, you were so apologetic and even offered to buy another, I just laughed and said Jeff, relax it's no big deal I think you did my mom a favor and he just flashed that awesome smile and kept on dancing. I'm going to really miss you very much. God bless you and your family in this time.

Always happy and upbeat. Always kind and generous, especially with your smile. Always there with a laugh. Always (and sometimes annoyingly so) the photographer. That is how I will remember you, my friend, and I take comfort in those memories. May your family and many friends take comfort in their own memories of you. You are much loved and missed.

Jeff Cooper had an infectious smile, a laugh that would fill up a room, and was one of the sweetest, kindest men I have ever known. He was someone who made a real difference in my life, who helped me to be a better person and it leaves a hole in my heart knowing I will never be able to hug him, go kayaking with him, run with him (ok, I walked and he and Dan came back and got me after they finished , lol) or sing karaoke with him again. I will always love the Jeff I know. I will hold on to our happy memories and all of the good times we had and most especially to that smile.

Jeff was an amazing, loving, caring, compassionate man. When I moved a couple of years ago, he wasnt available to help on moving day. But twice, TWICE, he brought boxes and bags to me at my job as I was packing. He stayed and chatted with me and my sister for a long time. He was soft spoken and so caring. One time, he accidentally backed into my van. I didnt care. My van is old, it was an accident. He was very concerned, and offered to pay to fix it (no need!) It ended up being a huge pain for him to locate the part to fix his own. And we had a running joke about this jelly-like things we called our squids. We got them at an event at the Mariners Museum. Jeff was always smiling, always thoughtful, an amazing man. I will always remember the joy he brought to the world. ❤
