Alan, Adrian, Andrew, and all the
Millward family my deepest sympathy and sincere condolences in your loss
I have very fond memories of Janet from the days when I first worked with John Wild in Sheffield in Yorkshire and later at Arthur Price. Whenever Janet called she was full of fun and had a great sense of humour and booted us into action. She had a very kind heart. She will be sadly missed.

Janet was a genuine force of nature. And a force for good -- she contributed to and spread the word about our work with babies who are deaf and hard of hearing, babies who are now thriving because of Janet's personal interest and efforts. We won't forget you, Janet.

My heart and prayers go out to Alan, Adrian, Andrew, Melissa, Lindsey, Jack and all of the Millward family. I have loved Janet since I was a young girl. She always treated my family like family. For my wedding she gave me a Kitchen Aid mixer and a cookbook in which she simply wrote "Lisa, always cook happy!" She came to the hospital when my daughter was born and told me "make sure you enjoy every minute of it!" And she aways had sage or comforting advice during rough times too. She was wise, generous and kind . . . truly a great lady. She will be greatly missed.

Janet is the nicest and kindest person we have ever known and a faithful and constant friend for 33 years.Friendship lasted almost from the day in 1979 when we learned with excitement that new owners also from England had arrived on our Mountainside Dr in Randolph until that last sad contact we made on 12/30/12 when Janet spoke to us her final words to anyone.
Janet has been a very special loving friend to us and our children. We raised our children together in Randolph Middle and High School and attended the same swim team meets at Shongum Lake and Randolph Park. Also, she was my constant swimming buddy at Randolph YMCA and Park.
On two occasions we stayed with Janet's parents in England and they became like our own parents. When her mother, Ada, was visiting NJ she accompanied us to watch Neville run the Waterfront Marathon.
Despite our moving 500 miles away to Raleigh, NC, in 1986, we kept in regular contact through phone, videophone, and occasional visits. We followed our children's progress to adulthood through thick and thin. In recent years we use to bring the grandchildren together in NJ.
One of my fondest memories is of Janet as the ever-practical lady. While helping to clean my kitchen in Raleigh, she turned her sweat shirt inside out so she could turn it to the clean side when we later went out shopping!
Janet knew me for the disorganized sewer I am, and would come up with gifts to organize my sewing room. I will treasure these gifts and will remember her every time I reach for a neatly stored bobbin of thread.
Janet and Alan were like family and we grieve for him and his family.

I have known and admired Janet since I was a very little girl. I have never met anyone with her same sparkle and charisma! Despite sometimes many years between our visits she was never ever a stranger and I always looked forward to her playful wit! She has left an amazing legacy to be proud of and heaven is most certainly a brighter place! My deepest sympathies go out to Alan, Adrian, Andrew, Melissa, Lindsey, and Jack for your incredible loss! Much Love…

We are so sorry to hear of Janet's passing. She was a lovely neighbor of ours on Mountainside Drive,in Randolph, and her Adrian and Andrew were playmates of our Andrew and Rachel. Her mom, Ada, used to come over and play our piano when she was visiting Janet and Alan in the U.S. May that warm and wonderful woman rest in peace. And our condolences to the family.
