20 May 1931-6 May 2021

Kevin passed peacefully at Morristown Medical Center on 6 May after a short illness.

Kevin was born in Flushing, New York to Joseph and Norine Cassidy. He had four brothers and three sisters. Kevin attended high school in school at Power Memorial in Manhattan. Kevin graduated Manhattan college 1951 with a B.S C. E. He would go on to further his degree with a PE which he has current to this day.

Kevin is a widow of Mary Elizabeth (Hennessey), the girl of his dreams who met summering at Breezy Point, New York. They married in 1953 after his college; she is sorely missed. Kevin is survived by four children and two grandchildren. Their firstborn Kevin Jr. married to Dr. Donna Siergiej. Brothers Mark and Richard and sister Karen married to Mr. Gerard Cafferty. He also survived by his granddaughters Erin, married to John Trochta; and Ms. Meaghan Cafferty.

Following military service, the family returned from Europe to Huntington, Indiana where Kevin restarted his engineering career with Standard Oil of Indiana. There, sister Karen joined. Homesick for relatives, a relocation to East Northport New York resulted a long career with Foster Wheeler Energy Corp, travelling the globe as responsibilities grew.

While with Foster Wheeler, Kevin raised his family overseas enduring two separate multi-year assignments in Turkey building a refinery and steel mill. While his wife was absent for urgent medical treatment for TB, Kevin raised his family while excelling at his talents as well as home study for the children. Kevin rose to Director, Foster Wheeler Energy Limited, with responsibilities in Livingston and Clinton, NJ as well as 15 years in the Reading offices in England.

Kevin raised his family in Morris Township residing there for 27 years. He was a devout parishioner of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Morristown. He loved to travel with his beloved wife on cruises and vacations to exotic locations. The Mediterranean cruises were their favorites. Kevin loved to enjoy golf with his wife and family.
