Robert W. Carpenter

Robert W. Carpenter, 93, passed away after a short illness on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Karen Ann Quinlan Home for Hospice, Newton. Robert was born in East Orange, and grew up in Dover, he Graduated from Dover High School and he had lived in Dover for most of his life. Robert worked as a Dispatcher for Lakeland Bus Lines Inc. and he retired in 2012. He resided in Randolph for the last 11 years and he loved the Quiet Man Restaurant and his friends at Lakeland Bus.

Robert is survived by his long time friends Leo & Helen Homeijer. He is predeceased by his mother Ethel Carpenter (nee Reid).

"Lakeland Bob" will always be remembered by his fellow regulars, friends and servers at his favorite lunchtime spot. He loved NYC in the 1950's and I hope he is there now, having a Johnnie Walker Black and a big juicy steak.
