Lynn Brunskill Obituary

Lynn Ann Brunskill

Lynn Ann Brunskill left this life, but not the hearts of so many she touched, on July 9, 2015. An artist in many media and a graphic designer by trade, she did designs for Time Warner, the New Jersey ACLU and others, and crafted jewelry and other art objects. She was passionate in the local Preserve Greystone cause, and was a founding board member of the group. Born in Parsippany, she traveled the world and was a self-employed contractor to many businesses in town and internationally. She lived in the historic Mt. Tabor neighborhood. Educated at Mason Gross School of the Arts, Rutgers New Brunswick, she was a sought-after designer to corporations and nonprofits, and a source of life and goodwill to all who knew her. She taught art to children and aided developmentally disabled kids in her own youth. Lynn loved nature, kept a horse and other animal companions, and devoted her talents, time, funds and presence to causes she cared about, from peace to women's rights. She died at age 47 after a nine-month fight with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband, Adam McGovern; her brother and sister-in-law, Stephen Brunskill and Michelle Merkel-Brunskill; and her parents, Inge and Bill Brunskill. She willed her body to medical science and a memorial is being planned.

Lynn was an amazing presence. I met her first while working at Time Warner and was lucky to know her for almost nine years. She was cheerful, always ready with a joke or a laugh that made working with her a delight. We often remarked in our department about how talented she was as a designer and an artist, so she is missed on so many levels.

Such a shock to read of Lynn's passing. We worked together at SSM Marketing (part of St Clare's) many years ago. She had so much talent and creative energy and was a fun person to be around. My condolences to her husband and family.

I am shocked and saddened to learn of Lynn's passing. She was a creative free spirit who shared her talents to so many. We were in grade school together and I was often in awe of her artistic talent. Our paths crossed again when she was the magazine designer for ERA Franchise Systems in the late 90's. She also designed awesome t-shirts for my family reunion weekends. Please accept my deepest sympathies, Adam and Brunskill family. Rest in Peace, Lynn.

I am sorry to hear of Lynn's death. Although she would not remember me, I remember her from high school and all of her beautiful drawings. Her talent was amazing. May her family find peace during this very difficult time.

Dear Stephen--

I was so saddened to hear about the "passing" of your sister. She sounded like a creative, smart, and interesting and interested person. I know that you will miss her greatly and I feel your pain. If you do not remember me, we once worked at the Morristown / Morris Township Library together.
Sincerely
Laura Cobrinik

P.S. Please give my condolences to the rest of your family. The world will definitely miss Lynn Ann Brunskill.
