Kathleen Smith Obituary

Kathleen Smith

AGE: 57 • Budd Lake

Kathleen (Kitty) Smith, age 57 of Budd Lake, passed away suddenly at home. She was born to Walter B. Smith and the late Mary Ann Smith on December 21, 1959.

Kitty graduated from West Morris Mendham High School before attending the University of South Florida in Tampa. Kitty was a gifted artist; as well as animal lover and gourmet cook - her meals were enjoyed by many on every occasion. She worked as an independent sales consultant for the last decade helping small and medium business owners attract and retain clients. Prior to that, Kitty was a cosmetology school director.

Family and friends were Kitty's passion and delight. She grew up spending summers and vacations on Long Beach Island and developed a life-long passion for the water; she was often found swimming on any day that the weather would permit it. She adopted many animals throughout the years and was the first call for many whenever a pet was in need.

Kitty is survived by her Father, Walter B. Smith, her Sister and Brother in Law, Janet and Roy Schijns, Nephew Sean Reardon, Niece Ashlyn Szilva and Uncle, Joseph King. She also leaves behind her long-term companion William Albert as well as numerous loving relatives and friends.

Kathleen requested a private family service as such no service will be held for the public. In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to save animals to BARKS Inc, PO Box 593, Stanhope NJ 07874. Arrangements by the Bailey Funeral Home. www.baileyfuneral.com.
