Dear Denise and Family,

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your painful loss. Though I feel terribly sad that Derek has passed away, I can't help but remember his incredible bright smile. Derek always had a kind word and was genuinely friendly. A sweet and warm young man, the temperature went up 10 degrees when Derek walked into the bingo hall! In a world where people typically complain, Derek was always patient & pleasant, and always ready to help anyone out who needed his help or advice. I know you must be so very proud of the dear young man he was, and hope you'll find some comfort in knowing that he was the type of young person who made his little piece of the world a nicer place. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and always enjoyed making us laugh. We will miss him very much at bingo on Tuesdays. He is one of a kind. Remembering Derek fondly,

Denise there are no words to express how deeply sorry I am for your loss. It is not just your loss but all of his "bingo family" loss. It is just not the same without him. I keep expecting him to walk by the table and say "How Yaw doin" in his fake southern accent. It will take time for all of us to get over not seeing Derek, but please know we are here for you today as well as many tomorrows. I'am especially here for you because I know that Derek would want us all to take care of his best friend. You know the phone number, use it.

Denise & Family

We have all of you in our prayers at this difficult time and we have Derek in our hearts. It was a pleasure knowing Derek and watching him grow from a young teenager to a wonderful young man. He always had a beautiful smile for us whenever we spoke to him. May he rest in peace.

Denise,
I am very sorry for your loss and my heart goes out to you and your family. I still can't believe that Derek is gone. It is hard to lose someone so special to you it feels like a void in your heart. You are such a strong woman. You were there in Germany with me when my parents passed away and you handed me and my grandma those two angels and said they are in heaven now. I just wanted to let you know that Derek earned his angel wings a long time ago he was one of the sweetest and kindest guy's I know. I was proud to call him family. I wish you and your family all the best in this sad time and know that we are here for you when you need us. With all our love the Root Family

Denise, and Family, I know nothing anyone can say is much solace at this time. This is one of the hardest things for a mother to deal with. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Derek will always always be remembered for his smile and gentle nature. He was a good friend.

Derek,
I'm proud to be part of your extented Bingo family and to say that you were such a good person. I enjoyed our many hours of working together. One of the nicest memories I have is the day you came into the hall and were so excited that you had just bought your beautiful diamond and onyx ring out of your latest winnings. Many times I teased you about letting me wear it but you just laughed and said someday. You and your family are in my prayers. God Bless You.

Denise,
I am praying for you daily, I can't imagine the grief and sadness in your heart. You and Derek had such a special relationship. I am so glad I got to sit with you and Derek that night at Bingo towards the end of Feb, we had so much fun. Although Derek was very sick then, he was still the polite, pleasant young man, with his warm laugh as always. You are a good lady Denise, and know that you will be with your dear sweet son again when God chooses to call you home.
My love and prayers to you and your family, I am here for you, please call anytime.
