Funeral services for Arthur Le Roy Baldwin will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at El Cajon Lakeside Santee Mortuary, 684 Mollison Ave, El Cajon, Calif. 92020. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19 and he will be laid to rest immediately following the service at Singing Hills Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow the burial. The time and place will be announced at the burial. Arthur passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013. He was born on March 9, 1941, in Moline, Ill. Later his family moved to El Cajon, Calif. where he attended El Cajon Valley High School. At 18, he joined the Operating Engineers Local 12 So. After retiring, he and Rebecca moved to Nacogdoches. Survivors include his spouse, Rebecca Ann; his sister, Jan Marie Baldwin; sons, Arthur Le Roy Jr. and Todd Shelby Baldwin; step children, Jeffrey Jemo and Julie Jemo Faucher; numerous grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, William Jerome Jr. and Lela Irene Norman; brothers, William Dorian, William Jerome III, Charles Samuel and Raymond Norman; sisters, Evelyn Lucille Jennings, Glenna Louise Prouty; and son, Curtis Wayne. Art was very active in Singing Hills Little League. He was also a loyal member of the Free and Accepted Masons of California, San Diego Lodge No. 35. Pallbearers will be Arthur L. Baldwin, Todd Shelby Baldwin, Nicholas Baldwin, Todd Baldwin, Victor Baldwin and Jeffrey Jemo. In lieu of flowers, Rebecca requests donations be made in memory of Arthur Le Roy Baldwin to the J. C. Walter, Jr. Transplant Center, 6565 Fannin, SM1201, Houston Texas 77030.
