Lyle Cole Knighten passed away Saturday March 6, 2021 at NMMC-Tupelo at the age of 71. He was born September 20, 1949 to the late Harvey Lyle and Jane Brewer Knighten. He served in the Army National Guard for 16 years. He worked for Cadence bank for many years as a loan officer.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Knighten of West Point; sons, John C. Knighten of West Point, David L. Knighten of Canton, GA; daughter, Teresa Knighten Gisleson (Mark) of Osage, Iowa; brother, Paul Knighten (Judy) of Atlanta, GA; sister, Linda Broadwater of Charleston, MS; aunt, Jean Vinson of Jackson, MS; 3 grandchildren, Cole J. Knighten, Brody A. Knighten, Everett Cole Gisleson.
Funeral services will be 12 PM Wednesday March 10, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Binh Nguyen officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Mark Gisleson, Cole J. Knighten, Robert Vinson, Tom Vinson, Leonard Dichiara, Mike Saunders. Robinson Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
